Abstract: 

Channel coding is a vital component within digital telecommunications, helping to deal with unwanted factors like noise and enabling the establishment of a more robust communication link. Among the most renowned coding schemes are linear block codes, for which a variety of Decoding methods have been proposed in recent years. This paper demonstrates how a linear block coding problem can be expressed as a Probabilistic Graphical Model (PGM). We then explain how Probabilistic Programming Languages (PPLs), which are tools for solving such PGMs, can be used to decode this type of coding. Employing the Figaro programming language, as a PPL, we have simulated the Decoding of several famous linear block codes and found that the results of our proposed method closely match those of existing techniques. Our approach offers several advantages, such as the flexibility to utilize diverse inference methods, the ability to choose between hard and soft Decoding dynamically, and the implementation of a wide range of coding techniques. PPLs also enable the adjustment of Decoding algorithm parameters and the estimation of Channel conditions, ultimately enhancing the receiver's adaptability to varying Channel conditions. Finally, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of our proposed method.

Abstract: 

This study focused on female experience of watching the Channel Farsil’s serial, the Victoria. The qualitative method and in-depth interview technique in data collection are used to understand semantic implications of feminine readings. Results show 6 important factors which perusing females to follow the soap: entertainment, alternative gendered patterns which reproduced in the soap, collective participating for interpreting the text which offers a cultural authority to the audiences negotiating it, similar lived experience which shows some proportion among audience’s cultural circumstances, aural familiarity which creates excitement through expressing forbidden vocabulary and phrases according to formal Islamic culture, and closeness of the setting which is produced by camerawork. These 6 factors give female audiences distinctive opportunity of watching, interpreting and pleasure.

Abstract: 

The present article seeks to identify how representation of events take place in the media and how their audiences read it? For the first step, based on Stuart Hall’s coding /Decoding model, news programs of IRIB’s Channel One and BBC Persian analyzed by Van Dijk’s discourse analysis Model to extract dominant news discourse in each Channel (coding). two news events include Egypt Crisis and economic Situation of Iran selected and Three news packages from each Channel for the period of one month (from June 29 to July 30, 2013) selected purposively and analyzed. In second step, in order to extract news reading patterns of Tehran citizenry about selected events, we carried out individual and group semi-structured focused interviews (Decoding).29 individual and group interviews were conducted with 54 people from different sex and age groups. The findings showed that in representing all events, BBC Persian used components of Liberal Democracy discourse. Also, representation in Channel One was based on Islamic Revolution discourse. Highly affected by their identity texts, life experience, access to other discourses, contextual elements and components of both discourses, the interviewees red the news stories of both Channels as oppositional, negotiated and dominant.

Abstract: 

Daghoghi’s story in Masnavi Manavi is one of the stories which bewildered the readers but the bewilderment that the poet has times and times refers to is a mystical bewilderment.The poet’s experience and the theme of the story do not look familiar to the reader and it has hidden secrets whose understanding is not possible with our ordinary senses and it is beyond our everyday life experiences.  The internal ambiguity of most events requires commentaries and interpretations in such a way that in order to unveil its mysteries one cannot rely on logic and intellect. This story is an eternal experience which is transmitted through the unconscious and the key to the discovery of the unconscious is the study of its symbols.  In this article attempt is made to give a brief outline of the story and to solve some of its mysteries and complexities.

Abstract: 

Perpetual coding is a sparse coding method in which coefficients are used in a structured way for coding operations. It has been shown that this method reduces the computational complexity of the random linear network coding method. The purpose of this paper is to articulate a mathematical model to illustrate the performance of perpetual coding, and to show that in a perpetual coding with the presence of an erasure Channel the number of linear dependent packet transmissions is highly dependent on a parameter called the width ( ) ω which represents the number of consecutive non-zero coding coefficients present in each coded packet after a pivot element. Then, a mathematical analytical model for the number of transmitted packets is provided, which predicts the number of packets until the second round. Finally, we obtain the probability of the packet’ s Decoding in round k and validate it by simulation. The results show that for low error probability and small (ω ) on the link, overhead value can even reach a number close to 70%. To reduce the transmitter overhead, the ( ) ω value must be selected correctly, and the correct choice of ( ) ω is highly dependent on the probability of Channel error. Also, for  5, generation size g  256 and low erasure probability on the link, a destination can receive up to 70% overhead on average. Moreover, by increasing the width, the overhead decreases and for  60 it becomes negligible. We show that our mechanism reduces the delay by 37. 44 percent.

Abstract: 

In this article, an attempt has been made to estimate the amount of sound transmission loss in a flat oval Channel by applying the approach of statistical energy analysis. Correct estimation of sound transmission loss in an air conditioning Channel is of great importance due to the harmful effects of noise pollution in the environment on human health. Simulation with the statistical energy analysis method is a powerful approach to estimate sound and vibration in problems in which we deal with complex and multi-part systems; is considered. In this method, first, a system is divided into several subsystems, and then by writing a matrix equation that includes the energy exchanges between subsystems and energy loss coefficients; It is investigated from the perspective of vibration and sound estimation.On average, the model presented in this research is able to estimate the sound transmission loss in different dimensions of the air conditioning Channels according to the experimental results in the accuracy range of ± 2.5 dB. Considering that it seems that the results obtained from modeling with this method are in good agreement with the experimental data; The results of this research can be used as an efficient approach to estimate noise in oval shaped Channels stretched in different lengths.

Abstract: 

Iteratively Decoding and reconstruction of encoded data has been considered in recent decades. Most of these iterative schemes are based on graphical codes. Messages are passed through space graphs to reach a reliable belief of the original data. This paper presents a performance analysis of the Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) code design method which approach the capacity of the Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) model for communication Channels. We investigate the reliability of the system under Phase Shift Keying (PSK) modulation. We study the effects and advantages of variation in the codeword length, the rate of parity-check matrix of the LDPC codes, and the number of iterations in the Sum-Product Algorithm (SPA). By employing an LDPC encoder prior to the PSK modulation block and the SPA in the Decoding part, the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the PSK modulation system can improve significantly. The BER performance improvement of a point-to-point communication system is measured in different cases. Our analysis is capable for applying any other iterative message-passing algorithm. The code design process of the communication systems and parameter selection of the encoding and Decoding algorithms are accomplished by considering hardware limitations in a communication system. Our results help to design and select paramours efficiently.

Abstract: 

In this paper the combination of equalization and turbo Decoding is studied. In the iterative Decoding of a product code in block turbo coding system, the equalization process is performed within the iteration loop. This research aims to investigate the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) incorporated in the iterative Decoding. Simulation results show that the more severe Channel interference, the more the gain of the combination of DFE and turbo decoder performance compared with the case that using them individually.
